Originally from Australia, Rod has lived and/or worked in over 15 countries starting out in Sweden at an IBM Software Laboratory in 1982. He has personally ridden technology waves from large mainframe computers to mid and mini computer solutions, through to personal computers, the launch of windows, the internet and now cloud based, SaaS applications. He was part of the team that built the first automatic biometric passport protype console tested at Sydney airport in 1994. He worked on various E-commerce solutions including the first ever Electronic Visa for the Australia Government and as Project Director implementing a Manufacturing Information System for UK's largest print group managing over 36 printing presses across 13 plants.
The profitable application of technology has always been a key factor in the projects that Rod has been involved with around the world.
Rod offers an "extra brain in the room", unencumbered by existing organisational structures or processes and able to draw from a very broad experience. Creative, lateral thinking and a fresh set of eyes can stimulate and motivate management planning processes.
